These are often professionally put together and made to be very beautiful. A common design would be something like a wreath-type design shaped like a heart. These flower arrangements are sometimes made to be very large, and are placed on top of vehicles as the casket is being transported. Flowers are often gifted during funeral services as friends and families attend memorials for the deceased. There isn't a specific type of flower for this. These are often gifted in baskets or in bouquets.
Burial grounds are often surrounded by flowers. When people visit the deceased the most common item that they leave behind are flowers. Outside of most cemeteries you can usually find flower shops for that reason. Funeral flowers can send different messages. It can express love, sadness, sympathy, or even joy for a special occasion. For holidays like Christmas or New Year's, some burial grounds have many celebratory designs for the deceased. On the other hand, flowers can also bring comfort to those mourning, and give comfort to the family.
